FRIDAY, APRIL 4TH The format of the spring race was expanded to a three-day event in 2005 with the addition of the “White Rose Sprints” which take place on Friday night in downtown York, SC. The sprints drew 200 racers plus support teams, families and spectators, who learned about picturesque, downtown York— many eager to return to the small city to enjoy it’s eclectic collection of galleries, restaurants and shops. In it's third year, the Sprints return with powerful racers competing shoulder-to-shoulder at blazing speeds under the lights along the historic downtown streets of the White Rose City of York, SC. SATURDAY, APRIL 5TH The main streets of Old Town Rock Hill provide the perfect setting for spectators to witness Saturday's agressive, multi-lap criterium. SUNDAY, APRIL 6TH The Omnium concludes on Sunday with the legendary road race around Historic Brattonsville, a “Living History” village just south of Rock Hill. Join us at the Start / Finish at Hightower Hall as we bring Lance Armstrong's sport to hometown audiences! 1980 the Spring Races began with Criterium in Fewell Park, Rock Hill
1990 Time Trial event starting in downtown Rock Hill included 150 participants
1991 returned to Criterium at Winthrop Lake
1993 moved to two-day event (Criterium + Road Race)
2004 participation has grown to an average of 425 racers per day
2005 Addition of Friday Night Sprints
2006 Crit moved to downtown Rock Hill, SC

» Racers have attended from Yugoslavia, Canada, CA, FL, GA, KY, LA, MA, NC, NJ, OH, OR, TN, VA, in addition to SC
» Racers conservatively generated more than 800 room nights for our area hotels and other lodging facilities
The RHBC Spring Omnium is composed of three races with prizes and points awarded to the winners of each category— there are 11 categories per race. At the end of the third day of racing, points are totaled and an overall Omnium points winner will be awarded in each category.
